Scottsdale Psychological Society |
The Scottsdale Psychological Society is a nonprofit professional organization for licensed psychologists. The members meet 4 times each year in a member's home. The meetings include a brief business meeting, food, drinks and a featured speaker. These sessions provide each member with 1 unit of AzPA endorsed continuing education credit. In addition there is the opportunity to meet and network with fellow psychologists working in various specialty areas. The benefits of membership in SPS are numerous. In addition to the wonderful opportunities for networking, and obtaining CEU's, the membership is involved in promoting the "next generation of psychologists." This is done in part by financial sponsorship of students to attend the AzPA Convention. There are also opportunities for students to attend the SPS meetings with a sponsor and meet with psychologists with vast and varied expertise. SPS has an internal directory to foster communication, referrals and consultation with our fellow members. In addition, our website has an online directory of care providers to assist the public in locating a psychologist who is an SPS member. SPS welcomes all licensed psychologist who have an interest in being part of our group. There is no requirement that members live or work in the Scottsdale area.
